Restore what you already have
Hardwood floor refinishing
Remove worn finish, surface scratches, and outdated color while preserving the character of the wood underneath.
What to expect
A recommendation based on the floor in front of us.
Refinishing is often the right choice when the floor is structurally sound but the finish is scratched, dull, uneven, or no longer the color you want.
Peter provides free estimates and completes the work with a focus on preparation, honest communication, and details that hold up after the room is put back together.

Common questions
Before you decide
Every floor is different. These answers are a useful starting point; an in-person look determines the final recommendation.
Can every hardwood floor be refinished?
Many can, but remaining wear layer, deep pet stains, movement, water damage, and prior sanding all matter. Peter will inspect the floor before recommending full refinishing.
Do I have to stain the floor?
No. A clear finish can highlight the natural wood. Stain is useful when you want a different color or need to coordinate new and existing areas.
Will repairs show after refinishing?
Species, age, grain, and sun exposure can affect the match. Careful board selection and a shared stain-and-finish process help repairs blend as naturally as possible.
